PawTime
Pet Med Reminder
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
Introduction
PawTime ("the app," "we," "our") is a pet-medication and care-reminder app for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information PawTime works with, how it is stored, and how you stay in control of it. We built PawTime around a simple principle: your pet's data belongs on your device and in your own iCloud account, not on our servers, because we don't operate any servers that receive your data.
By using PawTime, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Data We Collect
PawTime only handles the information you choose to enter directly into the app, such as:
- Pet profiles (name, species, breed, photo, birthday, weight, and similar details)
- Medication and care schedules, reminder times, and dosage notes
- Logs of completed or missed doses and other care events
- Any notes or custom labels you add
We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, browsing activity, device identifiers, or any other personal information beyond what you type into the app for your pets. PawTime has no account or sign-up system, so we never ask for or store credentials.
How Data Is Stored
All of the data described above is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
If you turn on iCloud sync, your data is copied into your own private CloudKit database, which is part of your personal iCloud account and is scoped so that only you can access it. This sync exists purely so your data can appear on your other devices signed into the same iCloud account. We do not operate the servers that hold this data — that responsibility belongs to Apple's iCloud infrastructure — and we have no access to it, no copy of it, and no way to view, export, or use it ourselves.
You can turn iCloud sync on or off at any time in the app's settings.
Notifications
PawTime uses local notifications to remind you about upcoming medications and care tasks. These reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device through Apple's notification system. We do not use push notifications routed through a remote server, and no notification content is sent anywhere outside your device.
Purchases
If PawTime offers optional purchases or subscriptions, they are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Your payment details (card number, billing address, Apple ID, etc.) are handled by Apple and are never seen, collected, or stored by us. We only receive confirmation from Apple that a purchase was made, so we can unlock the corresponding feature within the app.
Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your data to anyone. Specifically:
- We have no analytics tools embedded in PawTime.
- We do not use advertising networks or ad identifiers.
- We do not include third-party tracking or software development kits (SDKs).
- We do not operate any backend server that receives your pet or care data.
The only parties that ever touch your information are Apple's iCloud service (if you enable sync) and Apple's StoreKit (if you make a purchase), both governed by Apple's own privacy practices, not ours.
Your Rights & Data Deletion
Because everything is stored locally (and, optionally, in your own private iCloud account), you are always in full control of your data:
- View or edit: Open the app to see or change any pet, schedule, or log entry at any time.
- Delete individual items: Remove a pet, medication, or log entry directly within the app.
- Delete everything: Deleting the PawTime app from your device removes all locally stored data. If you had iCloud sync enabled, you can also remove the synced copy from your iCloud account through the app's iCloud toggle or through your device's Settings app (Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage).
Since we never receive or hold your data ourselves, there is no server-side copy for us to delete on your behalf — deleting the app (and, if applicable, the iCloud data) is complete and final.
Children's Privacy
PawTime does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app is intended for use by pet owners to help manage their pets' care, and it does not include any account creation, communication features, or data collection that would identify a child user. If you believe a child has entered information into PawTime, you can delete that data directly in the app at any time, as described above.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the app or for legal or operational reasons. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of PawTime after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
